Contents design
I've completed the design of my final contents page with I am finally happy with. I love the background colour and fading effect I've put on it and really don't think I need to improve it much. I just need to upload it to indesign to add in the writers notes and the actually contents but other than that I'm almost done. I also need to add the page numbers around the side of the screenshot of the front page as indication to where everything is on in the magazine.

Target Audience
My target audience age range will be from about 12-18, just the right age to be interested in trends, celebrity gossip and to be inspired by other girls appearances and wanting to be like them.
This variety of different aged demonstrates how they would fit into my target audience, their favourite artists are all pop singers/pop groups. Girls will mostly be interested in my magazine as the magazine overall is portrayed as very girly, from the colour pink being vastly used to the content in the contents and the subjects covered in the double page spread.

Makeup
Something I really liked about the main photo's on my rough cut was the makeup on my model. I made sure her face was contoured so she did have lot of makeup on, but not too much to make her look really unnatural. After I'd took the photos and looked back the artificial lighting I used didn't emphasise her makeup too much and she looked very naturally pretty which is ideal as it will inspire my target audience to want to be naturally pretty like her.

Clothing for model and colours
I big problem in my rough cut was the costume that my model was wearing, and I wasn't too sure what I could get her to wear. So I did some research into photoshoot's from pop magazines and looked at the covers to get an idea of what would be suitable for her to wear on my magazine.
These are photos from Seventeen Magazine, and Top of the Pop's photo-shoots. All the costumes that these girls are wearing are very glam and nice to look at, something you wouldn't see your typical teenage girls wearing, therefore would appeal to this audience a lot. In the photo of Little Mix (the girl group) they are wearing darker clothing because there is a lot of them, this is so there is no colour clash, but a similarity they do have with the solo artists are that they wearing clothing that shows off the legs of the first, all in a dress or a skirt. This is mainly down to the fact that the look good which is appealing to the target audience, and that the target audience will admire them for being in such good shape and will aspire to be like this. The costume that appeals to me the most is Selena who is the third one along. I like how it is plain at the top so her hair is the focus of the top half of her body but she has a brighter colour skirt which would link with my colour scheme as my colour scheme consists of quite bright pretty colours. So I am going to hunt through mine and my models wardrobe to find a skirt or if not a dress that will fit in with my magazine like these models fit in.
This colour scale displays the ideal colours for my magazine. I used a lot of these different shades within my magazine to construct the house style. I feel that if I have my model wearing any of these colours on the front cover there will be a bit of a clash, but on the double page spread it will be ideal as the model is separated from the writing and colours that could clash. I'm going to take photos of my model wearing a range of different clothing, so that she can look different on the front page in comparison to the double page spread, as this is a pattern I have realised on the examples I have studied, they aren't using wearing the same clothing on the two pages. More my front page I was thinking my model could wear either red, blue, a mild green colour or maybe even black to avoid any colour clashes, but I'm going to have to take the photos and experiment with them first to get the ideal colour blend and quality.

Things to remove from my magazine
I need to completely redo my contents page. I honestly just don't think it looks good at all. I need more small photos rather than one big photo, and a big problem with the photo I've got is that a part of her body and face is cut off. The colours are too dull and need brightening up, and I just don't think this layout works. I'm going to have a look back at more of the examples I analysed and see if I can take some inspiration from any different ones of them to fit my magazine better.
FONTS!!
The fonts on all three of my pages need changing urgently, I'm going straight onto dafont to find some exciting, bubbly fonts to fit in with my magazine. The fonts I have are plain, boring and don't stand out at all. This needs changing urgently!
The costume of my model needs changing as a lot of my feedback stated it wasn't conventional or appropriate, so I'm going to conduct some research to what costume is best suited for my model to fit conventions and fit in with the genre.
